I am looking for a good workout to get my kick better in breaststroke. I currently can sprint a 50 SCY kick with a board in :43 seconds and would like to get that down much lower, hopefully to about :35 seconds. Does anyone have a good kick workout/workouts?

A breaststroke kick in :35 seconds is quite some task! Are you using fins in your workout to help with your leg strength and efficiency?
Fins designed for breaststroke would give you (ideally) more efficiency and power throughout your kick. If you are doing strictly a breaststroke workout, about 1/4 of the workout should be kick. This is just a generalization so definitely adjust as needed.

I looked at the Sppedo BR-specific fins on-line. $50. Worth it? Has anyone used them, to good effect?

I just ordered some. Will try them out here in a few days. I saw the Ed Moses used paddles on his feet to increase resistance when he kicked. I tried that a few years back and it hurt like hell. Hopfully the breastroke fins work better.

I'm sure the fins will work a little better than paddles (at least to some extent). Keep us updated on how well they work!

I read it somewhere that Ed Moses and Dave Denniston helped design these br fins. I really like them. I'm learning to kick br all over again after taking too many years off from swimming. Stretching helps too.
