Butterfly, beautiful to watch, difficult to train.
We SDK off every wall.
We're most likely to smack hands with each other and those beside us.
Fly's fun to sprint but no fun when the piano comes down

Well done!! :applaud::applaud::applaud:
I watched Robert Poiletman's (WR holder, M65-69, 2:38.81) 200 fly at South Carolina last week. He also took 12-13 strokes per length.

That is just amazing! :bow:
It was weird watching John's video and James' video back to back like that. Two very different approaches to fly... John's timing and knee bend seem okay to me but I'm curious to see what faster turnover looks like for John. Now then, am I correct in saying that the old James is back? According to James' blog he split his 200 11.66 seconds apart, 1:04.37 and 1:16.03. 2:20 is faster than I've gone in Masters but wow it looked like that 2nd 100 hurt bad. Yes folks, he's back!!! It's a Festivus miracle! :banana:

Yes I'm back...after that one 200 Fly in Oak Harbor of nearly even splitting a 200 Fly, I had to come back to the dark side. It keeps things interesting. :cheerleader:

hey all...would love to get comments on my fly video (hopefully posted below). This is from this past summer and I've been really trying to work on soft hand entry and not bending knees so much and keeping the kick more underwater - but I'm not improving too much. Would love any feedback ect.
will try to get some current video soon...

OK, fine then...I'll let you be the rabbit (but you'd better do it right), and I'll begin even splitting the 200 Flys.
Thanks Elaine!
What I'm having trouble with is figuring out where the timing is off...and how to fix it. I think it's off from a pause in the front but I'm not sure...I have trouble getting the pull initiated sooner...can you tell where my timing is off??
I've been told a lot that I need a faster turnover / qiucker catch and pull. I try but it seems very hard to increase turnover...not sure why? I know I need to keep the hands softer and not crash them in. Any suggestions for increasing turnover?
Kick faster. Decrease amplitude if necessary.
Whats your time for a 25 fly
I haven't done a timed 25 from a push lately but from the blocks I'm going 14.5 last spring my best 50 fly (scy) was 31.1 Thanks for watching and helping
