How many days do you practice a week

I practice usually 4 days a week. That seems to give me a nice period for recovery.

I tend to vary because of my schedule. Some weeks six times and other weeks only three. Because of the variation and not being able to predict what will happen "next week", I go whenever I can.

Every day. 4-5 times a week I do a hard workout and 2 days are EZ recovery days. Not necessarily consecutively. Some weeks I add couple days of double workouts. Every couple of weeks or so I take a day or two off.

I usually do 5 to 6, but will take an extra day off if my body needs the rest, and only do 4 days. This happens to be a 4 day week. I have add some additional sprinting and killer kick sets, which has made me a bit more fatigued than normal so I am only doing 4 this week. I try to let my body tell me how hard to push it. My daughter has been bringing home a different bug every month this winter so I haven't wanted to let my body get to over worked. Hook'em Blue

usualy 5-6 days a week but I don't do the sets that you all usualy do. the pool htat I use is really bad , I get about 800 or 900 yards in and I'm spent. So when I workout, I go all out.

Usually 5-6 times a week - three of these are coached workouts in the wee hours of the morning. At least one of the other workouts is just easy swimming.

I wish I was more consistent. Two days swimming a week are pretty standard; more is gravy... The rest of my life conflicts with swimming. I play soccer; coach soccer (minor workout); coach x-country running in the fall (good aerobic base work out), and coach track and field in the spring (no work out for me). And I teach senior high school English...I mark and mark and mark... Then I play taxi driver to my two teenagers, who play hockey, soccer, volleyball, track, baseball, piano, violin, and guitar..... No, I'm not trying to blow my own horn. Most parents I know have similar busy schedules; if teachers and parents didn't coach/assist school and community sports, who would? I know my time will come (when my kids have flown the coop) to swim 4 - 6 days per week. When that time comes, I'll enjoy it; until then, I try to keep fit and enjoy each day. But I do wish I could swim more...
