I'm new here and perhaps you can excuse me for asking a somewhat stupid question that probably gets asked all the time. We all know swimmers have amazingly toned bodies. So what do the top competitors such as Michael Phelps or other Olympic swim athletes do to get such desired results?
If I could follow a specific training schedule, there would be much more motivation for me to actually do it.
It is definitely easier to be motivated while working out with a team. Though that is the case, the hardest would be to training along. That is difference between a good swimmer and a great swimmer. External motivation is good, internal motivation is the gold. If swim is important in you life, then the internal motivation would not be as hard to come by...

and a GREAT team at that. He trains with quite a bit of other swimmers that are at the top of their events as well. It is alot easier to train the way he does when you have others around you pushing just as hard, hurting just as much and you are able to compete in training with them day in and day out. That is HUGE.
Having trained with several Olympians in my day I always swam my best when training with those guys and gals.
I want to know what he is listening to on his headphones before he jumps in and shatters world records.
When they interviewed him the day after he broke the first record in beijing he said he likes to listen to lil'wayne.. lol.
mens anyone have a michael phelps training program when he was at wolverine club, like djacks have posted before???? djacks where did you find this one??

Our "slow" group was working out next to Club Wolverine. I grabbed their workout after they left. This is the only one I saved.
