Michael Phelps Workout

I'm new here and perhaps you can excuse me for asking a somewhat stupid question that probably gets asked all the time. We all know swimmers have amazingly toned bodies. So what do the top competitors such as Michael Phelps or other Olympic swim athletes do to get such desired results? If I could follow a specific training schedule, there would be much more motivation for me to actually do it.

I actually found his workouts a few years ago, they were on the north baltimore swim team's website...idk the link and I don't have time right now to look around for it, but I have them printed out somewhere, I will look for them, and post them if no one else finds them

If you go to some of his fansites they will have scans of his workouts from various magazines. Just look in the galleries. I know this isn't very specific but you usually find more on fansites than when you just google it.

Here are a couple of things I have read over the years: MP once did a set of 15x200 back and finished the last one in 1:45 Swam a 5000 Free in 46:34 averaging 9:20 per 1000 ( that is the Senior National Cut in the 1000). Can Kick a 500 Fr in under 5:00 w/a board. I know that he (or used to) do a lot of Fr/IM sets and distance free sets. Bowman liked alot of the descending stuff. he also did the Barrowman routine for dryland with a medicine ball. He usually averaged 70-80k yards per week in season.
