Women's Locker Room

Here's a thread for the ladies to discuss anything that relates to women and swimming. For example, feel free to discuss how disgustingly ugly fastskins are, how the "curse" can kill a meet, how suits don't fit, how swimming wrecks your hair, how hormones unhinge you, etc.

Just how has she cheated in the past? Do you have some inside knowledge to BigNoodler using preformance enhancing drugs? Have you personally witnessed her doing something illegal in the women's lockeroom? If I did use PEDs (which of course I don't), I would seriously fire my chemist immediately. Who would use PEDs to swim such SLOOOOOOW times!? :cane:As it stands now, I think some of the 10&Unders (Diamond Group?!) on my team are passing me up. Now THAT is yet another reason to Boo-hoo!!! BTW, I think the F'ress was referring to the cheat suits as the cheating - although I could be wrong. But to take the PED thing a step further, I'm envisioning this dialogue: PED Chemist: So, what do you want? To be faster than Phelps? Dara? Or Natalie? How about Susan VDL? BN: No, no, no!!! I just want that USA-S 10&U BB time in the 50 Back!!! (I don't think I have that cut yet) PED Chemist: Okay. So wear your goggles and drink half a diet coke and you're good to go! As for my crazy antics in the women's locker room, I plead the fifth.

Besides, I'm 6'4" tall with a 38" inseam. You are exactly one half leg! You must have an awsome kick! (I'm 6'-4") I rode into St. Joseph on a horse drawn buckboard in the early 50s, and visited a saloon!
  • I was being silly when I mentioned automobiles and such. The Y has no master's team, although with a bit of prodding they have recently added an adult "masters" class that trains with an instructor once a week and is assigned further workouts to do on their own. This is actually how a lot of the masters teams outside of California, where I understand you have to audition before being accepted onto a team and subsequently paid money to represent whatever pool it is you are swimming for, start. I suggest you find some other swimmers who can do the "on your own" workouts at the same time, and volunteer to become the "player coach." With your impressive 6' 4" of leggy intimidation, I suspect no one will question your taking control!
  • Jim, Jim, Jim, You don't audition to get ON the team, you have to audition to be the STAR of the team. I haven't been chosen for that role yet! :lmao:

Wasn't St. Joe the starting point for the Pony Express? I would suspect there might be some link to this for Georgio's buckboard-'n-saloon experience. My wife's parents live in St. Joseph. When I am there (it's been years), I swim at the Y. Do they have a masters team now, or do you swim at the University or some other place? I was being silly when I mentioned automobiles and such. • Was it some kind of western re-creation event or parade? Automobiles had been around for a half-century by then. Wasn't St. Joe the starting point for the Pony Express? • Nobody has ever pointed out that I am half leg before. Now I'm curious if it's your left half or your right half. :)

I'd never even considered it myself. I feel silly for never making the connection.
  • See, George, if you had just worn your kilt no one would have objected.
