Here's a thread for the ladies to discuss anything that relates to women and swimming. For example, feel free to discuss how disgustingly ugly fastskins are, how the "curse" can kill a meet, how suits don't fit, how swimming wrecks your hair, how hormones unhinge you, etc.
I was being silly when I mentioned automobiles and such.
The Y has no master's team, although with a bit of prodding they have recently added an adult "masters" class that trains with an instructor once a week and is assigned further workouts to do on their own.
This is actually how a lot of the masters teams outside of California, where I understand you have to audition before being accepted onto a team and subsequently paid money to represent whatever pool it is you are swimming for, start.
I suggest you find some other swimmers who can do the "on your own" workouts at the same time, and volunteer to become the "player coach."
With your impressive 6' 4" of leggy intimidation, I suspect no one will question your taking control!
