Wasn't St. Joe the starting point for the Pony Express? I would suspect there might be some link to this for Georgio's buckboard-'n-saloon experience.
My wife's parents live in St. Joseph. When I am there (it's been years), I swim at the Y. Do they have a masters team now, or do you swim at the University or some other place?
I was being silly when I mentioned automobiles and such.
The Y has no master's team, although with a bit of prodding they have recently added an adult "masters" class that trains with an instructor once a week and is assigned further workouts to do on their own.
