I'm growing tired of dealing with mickey-mouse etailers who randomly delay shipments and send the wrong items. Which online purveyor of swimming goods gets your vote for most consistently great customer service?
  • I've never honestly had any problems with Kiefer. To be fair, I'm partial to them because I know several people who work for them and went to school with a member of the Kiefer family.
  • My purchases have all been through SwimOutlet.com and I was pleased with their service. I especially appreciated the online chat feature, so I could ask questions about the products I was considering. They also have a great selection.
  • My wife orders from Zappos & the stuff is in our porch the next morning!! I think that they drive around with shoes & when they get an order they stop at our house! Also free returns.
  • My purchases have all been through SwimOutlet.com and I was pleased with their service. SwimOutlet has been great - they even matched a $49 price that another vendor had on FS Pro suits. Never been dissapointed with their service and like Elaine mentions the on line chat is really helpful, and their selection and prices are better then most.

I think that it is worth looking at swim2000, keifer, swimoutlet, amazon, and metroswimshop Each shop has discounts on different items. I got an aquablade last week for $49 from swim2000 and then got two pairs of prescription goggles from swimoutlet. As for "reliable customer service," I don't think that any business has a policy of providing bad service. If you have a legit problem, call the owner or GM and 9 times out of 10 the probelm gets fixed. Bad service usually comes from the person who answers the phone who lacks the authority to refund your money even if they wanted to.

Another vote for Swimoutlet - they have been the only one I have used, and I just got my latest order today . Also shipping is very reasonable if you don't want to spend $75. I however find $75 all too easy to spend.
  • Kiefer, swimoutlet, and swim2000 have never given me any problems. I ordered a ton of stuff from swim2000 when I was in Iraq last year and could not have been happier. Actually, I've never had a *bad* experience with an online retailer, but of course YMMV.

From the home page, www.usms.org, click the link on the right side that says "View All Sponsors." You will see a list of all of USMS's sponsors. There are several online vendors that sell a variety of products: Adolph Kiefer, All-American Swim Supply, Kast-A-Way Swimwear, and SwimOutlet.com. There are also several manufacturers who sell their own products online: Speedo, Finis, Tyr, and more. We appreciate all of our sponsors and hope that you will consider purchasing from them.
  • My purchases have all been through SwimOutlet.com and I was pleased with their service. I especially appreciated the online chat feature, so I could ask questions about the products I was considering. They also have a great selection. I would like to update my review of SwimOutlet.com, because my opinion of them has risen to a higher level. I had purchased a pair of Aqua Sphere Kayenne Ladies goggles and absolutely LOVED them- for about two weeks. They were very comfortable, fit my small face, and didn't leak. Then, all of a sudden, my goggles started flooding when I started swimming, yesterday, even though I hadn't done anything differently. No matter how good of a seal I had before I hit the water and no matter how much I tightened them, they flooded. So, I sent an e-mail to customer service and received a response from the same gal who helped me on the "Live Chat". Not only did the response arrive quickly; it completely met my satisfaction. She sent another e-mail with a mailing label, so I could send the goggles back, postage paid by SwimOutlet.com. And, they are going to send me another pair of goggles, expedited shipping, again, postage paid by them. Since it turns out they have received numerous complaints similar to mine about these particular goggles, they no longer sell them. (I couldn't find them on any other website of USMS sponsors, either, so it must be a widespread problem.) "Grace" was honest about the problems with those goggles and answered my questions about the reliability of another pair of Aqua Sphere goggles that I thought I would try, instead. And, since they are less expensive (barely!), they said they would refund the difference to my credit card, even though I didn't ask and wouldn't have bothered with the $1 difference! Both e-mails I received from SwimOutlet were very apologetic, appreciative of my business, and eager to please. It was customer service at its finest; something I appreciate very much. :applaud: I could not have asked for this problem to have been handled any quicker or more efficiently. SwimOutlet.com has my loyalty and deserves the business of USMS members! :cheerleader:
