I have seen guys using jammers mostly now. However, there were a good number of swimmers in briefs at Santa Clara. I'm leaning toward getting one for competition. I have square suits that I use for practice.
Does it matter what strokes I do?

Jammer for "big" meets, and brief with drag suit for practices and other meets. Although I suppose this now violates the one suit policy, so probably just a nylon water polo brief for other meets...:bitching:
I have a TYR Tracer Light brief that I wore as a "modesty" suit under my B70. I'm not shy, but no way am I racing in that thing - a suit cut for a 20's body on a 40's one...:cane:
I tend to briefs for *** events and jammers for the rest.
Going over the weekends results I set PB's in all but my 200 BR...but it was OK. I think maybe the longer underwater style of the 200 BR would be better served if I opt for a jammer for that too.

Oh, Stud. Those of us who attended Nationals know allllll about those briefs of yours! :lmao:  :applaud:
So, how did it go against Fort? Who won???
I didn't pay close attention, but I recollect mostly jammers at our recent zones championship.
My intention is to wear briefs for in-season meets and jammers for taper meets. But if my jammers are old/loose/ill-fitting, I would wear briefs for a taper meet and not worry about it very much.
Oddly -- it depends on the pool -- sometimes I get a little cold between events wearing jammers.
Jammers are way better than briefs, they offer some compression.
Speedo PRO is a great choice.
I've also worn the B70 jammer

jammers for taper meets and briefs for non-taper meets. Briefs are just more comfortable. Sometimes, I will wear a racing jammer at a training/inseason meet.
Now that I think about it I've worn all three at competitions over the last year. I agree with Ande, though. A good, tight pair of jammers is probably your best bet because of the muscle compression.
