I'm curious. If you had to choose your favorite post workout food what is it? Not a supplement. Real food here.
Right now I like a blackberry jam with PB and honey with crushed walnuts on Wheat. 300 ca. 10 gr protein. I also like a 25 gr. protein smoothie. If I had to choose a supplement it would be Hammer Recoverite. After a long sat. run over 15 miles I will add a big glass of choco milk.
Don't get to eat it much, but since I swim in the AM my favorite post-workout breakfast would be IHOP's Harvest Nut and Grain pancakes.
Sugar and carbs with just a hint of nutrition... Mmmmmmm.....
ouch! me a lardass?--I like to think of myself as husky. I don't do this often but after last saturday (you remember the one you wussed out on), I did partake in the la breakfast.:)
The "lardass breakfast," man, not you. You're an Adonis.
I seriously wish I could eat like that again. I mean, I can eat like that, but the result is not pretty.
Egg burrito with tomatoes, sharp cheddar, and avocado on a spicy tortilla. 2 cups of coffee. Half an hour later when I'm starving a few bowls of honey nut cherrios.
I workout in the morning, so here's my favorite post-workout breakfast:
oatmeal (real oats, not quickie oats) with peanut butter (organic, no additives) and honey
double espresso
glass of OJ
It's simple, but keeps you feeling satisfied and the energy flowing through the morning.
That a good one. especially at work. just enough to fix todays damage.

Now that sounds like a good way to make oatmeal. Thanks.
My post workout meal is pretty standard.
1 scoop of Endurox R4 in 16oz of water
2 eggos + a healthy dose of Mrs. Buttersworth
cheddar omelet (half a box of egg starts + a healthy sprinkling of shredded cheddar)
12oz latte (2 shots espresso + milk + 1/2 tsp sugar)
Now my favorite would be if someone would whip up some fresh waffles for me, but everything else is good.
Endurox is the only supplement I currently use and I love the Fruit Punch.

I used to make my oatmeal like this www.marthastewart.com/.../strawberry-oatmeal-breakfast
With raisins and a few pecans tossed in too though. Way too good to be good.
+
double espresso
glass of OJ
A piece of wheat toast with peanut butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon. (If it was a really hard workout, I go with two pieces of toast and make it a toasted peanut butter sandwich.)
With coffee, of course.
