Does anyone here go under 1:02 ish? if so, can u tell me how it felt different from before when you were slower? Like what changes did you make and wut did u notice? EDIT: haha i meant short course yards. but there are long course yards.
  • i've been under 1:02 to swim the 100 br faster you need to 1) perfect your technique copy the best in the world 2) get stronger 3) train further harder smarter more swim faster times in practice Hi guys, i'm a Junior in high school. Right now, i go a 1:10 in my 100 breaststroke LCY. Does anyone here go under 1:02 ish? if so, can u tell me how it felt different from before when you were slower? i've been under 1:02 to swim the 100 br faster you need to 1) perfect your technique copy the best in the world 2) get stronger 3) train further harder smarter more swim faster times in practice yes, but I've watched many videos of elite breaststrokers and they all have very different technique. I'm just really confused on what to do. But i'l get it with practice. I've got the kick down really well (probably the fastest *** kicker on the team), but I've experimented with a few different types of pulls and i'm trying to figure out which one works the best for me.

I'd like to suggest that you start timing your 100 kicks and 100 pulls. When you can set some intervals that are constant, you can begin experimenting in an effort to reduce your times. I could kick and pull a 50 in the low 30's (30 point) but could never break a minute. Timining is critical but I think concentrating on improving 100 kick and pull times is the ticket. Be sure that you keep everything at a constant (no pulling on kick sets and no kicking on pull sets). Try to improve your EVF, sculling and work on getting those hands up super fast. Streamlining off walls with a great fly kick must be a focal point as well. A lot to do and little time to do it, but such is life. Good luck young man! Coach T.

I've never heard of long course yards but turns and pullouts can almost always get better.
