Dara just one the national title in the 100M Freestyle in 54.4 at the ripe old age of 40. Simply Incredible. :applaud: :woot:
If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.

While the fact that Dara can smoke her times from her days in college 20+ years ago is truly an amazing feat, I do NOT think it is an unreasonable feat. I mean, its a frickin 50. :bolt:
I agree. 40 years old...isn't old.
Anyone can break open a can of whoop ass at 40.
No matter how hard I try, I do not buy it.
No one’s asking you to buy anything unless it’s your fellow members of the flat earth society.
At least they have “Scientific data and measurements backing up our claims” and they are working to “Dispel common myths about "proof" regarding round earth theory” and “Uncover the conspiracy to withhold the truth from the public”:dunno::frustrated::cane:
If she was "muscling" her freestyle I think you would see it. Her stroke is so efficient, fluid and flawless. Put reasonabe strength into the equation and wala.
Strength can be maintained and sometimes peaked in athletes at late 30's.
When 39 year-old Dara Torres set two World Masters swimming records during the Fort Lauderdale Masters Challenge Swim Meet a few years ago, both records were the fastest ever swam by any female Masters Swimmer. Torres' time, 22.34 in the 50-yard Free, broke the old record of 23.53 from 1996 held by Sandy Neilson-Bell.
That time was faster than she swam in college, (22.38) in 1988. Sandy’s time was within 0.1 of a second of her college time.
Trying to compare any swimmer to a baseball user is not fair to either party. Lest ye forget that baseball did not ban some of the substances that McGwire, Bonds, Giambi et al. used until very recently. The assault on the recordbooks may have been aided, but for the most part, it was not against the laws of their sport.

that article even said that she has her blood drawn monthly as per HER own request to fight off the vicious rumors with a more comprehensive drug screen than a simple urine sample. Talk about sticking it to them.
She's not THAT big. Certainly nothing that somebody would need steroids and such to develop.
Not saying she's big. And not implying that something seems fishy...
Just saying she's ripped.
I still believe in her. Her body has not changed shape like Bonds' and McGwire's did. Her training is completely focused on sprinting. Her coaching (as per the NY Times article) is by someone who has publicy stated he will never coach anyone not committed to swimming clean.
Let's not forget that her freestyle technique is unbelievable. Look at the youtube videos of her races.
If she isn't clean, she is taking a huge risk of not getting caught and going down in flames like the Hindenburg.
