  • The 100 IM is a sprint. Aha! I knew I was swimming it correctly despite all the crap I got on Rich's 100 IM thread. No loafing around on backstroke. I'm with FlyQueen on the 50, 100, 200 *** training? Eewww.. What happened to specialize, specialize, specialize? Or did you just get really bored that year? Did you ever really do it? I'm glad you started your blog. I guess everyone else is too since it got such a great *** rating. Good luck tomorrow!
  • thanks to everyone who commented here I don't think I'm going to focus on breastroke, i just don't want to suck at it so bad. on the ratings of my blog forums.usms.org/showthread.php if you click "rating" which is near the top of each page you'll see that 5 stars are excellent 4 stars are good 3 stars are average 2 stars are bad and 1 star is terrible not very many people rate threads but early on there was an ande hater who thought I should take up USMS space with a blog and I should move it to a more appropriate place, like blogspot, blogger, ... so I would appreciate any 5 star ratings that folks want to give I think the system is set up so you can only rate once ande Aha! • Good Luck today Ande! ...No loafing around on backstroke.... What's wrong with this? It gives you a chance to: 1) catch your breath after not breathing much on the fly and 2) mentally prepare for the breaststroke which will be miserably slow now matter how hard you work it. Swimming IM is kind of like :frustrated: .
  • Geek, I wasn't referring to you, there was another member who thought I was going to use too much data storage space. I'm glad you tremendously enjoy my swim blog, I keep posting to it because of the encouragement, friendship and comments it gets, when I'm training I attempt to do something blog worthy in each practice. ande Yes, it was me who originally thought this, but I was never a hater. I have to admit that I have changed my mind totally and enjoy your blog tremendously. It is very good and I have actually stolen some workout ideas from it. In that regard, I recant. As a matter of fact, me and another swimming oriented poster on here have frequently commented on your times in private chats.
  • when I'm training I attempt to do something blog worthy in each practice. That's a great motivator, Ande, and might deserve a spot in your swim faster faster tips! Congrats on your swims so far at SC Champs. Carrie
