I have to be out of the pool for a couple of weeks and I wonder what other folks do when they're forced to lay off swimming for a while. And I'm not talking about sitting in front of the tv LOL, but of alternative exercise that will help once you get back in.:D
Forget the treadmill. I'm jealous that you can wear shorts to work! (One thing I do miss about working from home.) I'll bet you have a pool right outside the door, too! :)
We are not allowed to wear shorts to work. Laura's wearing a skirt in that video. And, unfortunately, the pool is 12 miles south of the office!

if its chocolate moo-llenium crunch or carmel sunday crunch...dont plan on having any.
So is that what you have in your drink bottle during workouts? Blue Bell Chocolate Moo-llenium? Your secrets are out Mr Unruh. I may have to strategically place a cup at the non finish end of your lane the next time we race. :)
Just continue what is already done in addition to swimming, like lift weights, stretching, plyometric jumps, yoga, and maybe run no more than a mile at a time. good weight bearing activity
Well, I usually get really snarky. :argue:
But I try to replace the pool with the gym, or some other cardio activity like bike riding or a brisk walk in the neighborhood.
It really depends why I'm not swimming. If illness/injury, then I try to rest/recover and get back to normal soon.
If it is a time issue, then I'll do other things to fill in the gap.
If on vacation, I'll still try to swim 1-2 times a week for maintenance, and I do a ton of walking anyway.
