Green hair from Chlorine

If you hair turned green before it will probably again.:( Some hair seems more suseptible to the copper in the water than others. I am blonde, hardly ever swim with a cap and have never turned green--brassy yes, green no. There are shampoos out there that might be helpful that are formulated for swimmers. Crushing aspirin and suspending it in water, pouring it over the hair, letting it soak awhile ,then rinsing may help. Wetting your hair, putting conditioner on, then the cap may be your best bet.

Try using a shampoo product by the name of Ultra-Swim. It is supposed to remove chlorine from hair. It seems to work well for me. This is not to intended as a commercial here. Hope this helps!

Also the asprin and belive it or not ketchup tips can work. My advise wet hair in the shower to fill hair shafts, wear a swim cap and shower again with a conditioner..any type they are all chemicals, or try some of the tips for a really watertight swim cap, as the page says a really water tight cap will be a more tight fit theres no loose cap that can keep out pool water. The strap type caps will keep out more water then the thin strapless caps. the bubble ones do not pull hair, the soild one do a bit, both have better sealing then the thin race caps. my hair is thinning,wish i had green hair or any hair would do!!!!

Blonde also and it doesn't turn green at all. Just makes it much lightner because naturally it a very dark blond. Don't wore a cap either I have short hair. I know that many men and some women with short hair wore caps but I swam back in the 1970's when I usually didn't wore one until the last few years when they became more the norm, so it doesn't bother me, and I use a strong shampoo.

wet hair, then cap it--all of it, no loose ends hanging out, unless you want them dry and green. Also, I cut my hair short and stylish two weeks ago...how liberating! (I still cap it though!) Jerrycat ;)

Your right, it would definetly cause a lot of drag. I dont think I would be caught dead in a cap like that.
