I am new to this forum and new to USMS.......I have been away from swimming for over 20 years and am going to jump back in next week. My question - are there any good hair products to keep us blondes from turning green? Or should I just resort to wearing a cap? Thanks for any input......... Loreta

If you hair turned green before it will probably again.:( Some hair seems more suseptible to the copper in the water than others. I am blonde, hardly ever swim with a cap and have never turned green--brassy yes, green no. There are shampoos out there that might be helpful that are formulated for swimmers. Crushing aspirin and suspending it in water, pouring it over the hair, letting it soak awhile ,then rinsing may help. Wetting your hair, putting conditioner on, then the cap may be your best bet.
