I haven't swam in quite a while (october), and I've started to notice that my stomach is kinda flabby now (even moreso since I've lost a bunch of weight this past year).
Just wondering if anyone has tips for me to get back into decent swim shape. I'm not planning on racing anymore, just trying to get to the pool a few times a week.
Also, what should I use after my swim so my hair doesn't get destroyed by the chlorine? That's the main reason why I stopped in october because my hair was always dead.:badday:

Sure.
To get back into decent swim shape, first priority is to go to the pool and swim at least 3 times a week. Consider doing some basic drylands - crunches, pushups for a few minutes each day.
About the hair, wear a cap while swimming, shampoo afterwards, get haircuts often. Think about what counts the most: being fit and healthy -vs- having perfect hair.

I do weight exercises daily at the gym and walk a lot so I'm not super unhealthy (my diet could be a bit better, but I'm not gaining weight). I just don't like what chlorine does to my hair haha, it's probably my only redeeming quality D;

Get back into the pool and watch the calories... Usually, when you're training hard and long, it's easy to eat anything. Once you stop, well, let's just say all the flab isn't from loose muscle.
When I stopped training after college, I added 20 pounds in about 6 months. Took me that long to stop eating like I was doing 12,000 yards a day!

There may be a low-chlorine pool in your area, where another chemical is used as disinfectant (bromide/bromine).

tips on getting back in shape
join a team and train hard several times a week
Eat Less MOVE MORE
Lift weights
Walk
Eat more salads and veggies
The best thing to use on your hair BEFORE you swim and WHILE you swim is a CAP
Use a cap.
If pool water still makes it's way under your cap you can moisten hair first with sodium thiosulphate. This would either salt out free chlorine or reduce your hair to nothing so you need not worry anymore:D
Really, pool water when properly treated does not ruin hair.
