college, getting back into swimming

I haven't swam in quite a while (october), and I've started to notice that my stomach is kinda flabby now (even moreso since I've lost a bunch of weight this past year). Just wondering if anyone has tips for me to get back into decent swim shape. I'm not planning on racing anymore, just trying to get to the pool a few times a week. Also, what should I use after my swim so my hair doesn't get destroyed by the chlorine? That's the main reason why I stopped in october because my hair was always dead.:badday:

  • I do weight exercises daily at the gym and walk a lot so I'm not super unhealthy (my diet could be a bit better, but I'm not gaining weight). I just don't like what chlorine does to my hair haha, it's probably my only redeeming quality D; There may be a low-chlorine pool in your area, where another chemical is used as disinfectant (bromide/bromine).
