Janet Evans was born August 28th, 1971 so her metric age is 40 Great, that means she's already in my age group - along with Dara Torres.

Janet made the local TV news in Seattle this morning. They mentioned she set a new World record for the 35-39 age group and showed a short clip of her swimming.

Great, that means she's already in my age group - along with Dara Torres. By the end of the summer, all of the women's 40-44 freestyle records could be held by either Dara Torres or Janet Evans...Not sure about Janet's but Dara's records are fastest of all age groups...

I wonder what other meets she plans to swim this summer? It sure would be cool if she made it to Auburn!

I will admit...she was more then impresssive this weekend. To go out swimming alone, at a meet that means nothing, is impressive. Given a bit of competition this weekend (even a fast male swimmer) I think she could have shaved another second or two.
