What is the difference? He missed or he scratched. If he wants to tell you he will. If he doesn't that is up to him. No bg deal. I once got lost and arrived late for an event. The result I didn't win a gold medal for an event I could have easily won. The problem points I would have won would not help our team win the meet, but our team won it anyway.

  • I saw Ande, today, and he was disappointed he missed his 400IM. It was the first thing he said to me after "Hi Elaine-iaK!" He was trying to make it around the pool to the blocks, but his heat came up when he was still on the other side. Give the guy a break; we all make mistakes! The heats have been running very fast; both days were ahead of schedule. I am willing to bet he wasn't the only one to miss his heat... Ande, if you see this before tomorrow, good luck in your races! :cheerleader:
  • Good job Elaine! :) 28 Krugman, Elaine 49 GAJA 1:30.23 1:33.49 42.73 1:33.49 (50.76) Yikes, That Guy, did ya have to advertise my rotten 100? :D I mean, thanks, but... I used my PB (PR) as my seed time, but I haven't been able to break it. Today, I was so beaten down by the heat by the time my event went off, I had nothing left for my last 25. My splits sure show that, don't they? The heat is brutal out here, even in the shade. Tomorrow, I'm spending more time in the gym with the vendors! Hey, while I'm here, I want to give a :cheerleader: to Allen for a great 100 breaststroke. And, a BIG thanks for the instant feedback on my race, breaking down each 25 with a full critique; something totally unexpected, just like at Nats. last year. And, to his wife Carol: "Death To Noodlers" UNITE! :chug: (Allen, make sure you pass this on to Carol. :D)
  • Congrats all. Sounds like some great swims are happening. Allen, will you keep us posted on MJ's status, please?
  • Allen, do you know which hospital MJ is in? Perhaps some of us can go see her... Anna Lea Last night, she was at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix.

That Guy do you have any Idea what suit he wore? Did he wear a Brief or a Jammer? Was the jammer a tech jammer or just a jammer?
  • To appreciate the magnitude of what Geek accomplished today, consider this: when he beat me in the 500 free back in January of 2007 he went 5:32.07. Today he took his 1650 out in 5:20.03. I don't believe he has peaked yet. Amazing. I guess switching to MAC really agreed with him.
