Right now current suit rules dictate, that
Men wear must wear jammers or briefs in meets &
Women can race in zipperless kneeskins
Guys, what if men were allowed to race in zipperless kneeskins?
I for one think more coverage would allow me to swim faster.
What if masters men were given the choice?
What would you choose?

I want to be allowed to wear whatever Leslie "TheFortress" gets to wear. In an appropriate size, of course. And not red, but navy blue. Or gold. Or maybe black.
In all seriousness, I would be in favor of zipperless kneeskins for the men. The better to constrain the bellies and moobs.
I thought the P90X was eliminating your belly and moobs ... Man up! :)
In all seriousness, I would be in favor of zipperless kneeskins for the men. Me, too. Even better, let's go back to suits that were once good enough and legal enough for the likes of Hackett and Thorpe!
I dunno. I kind of like the feeling of more skin on the water, its why I switched from my jammer to a Nike Square that looks more like a brief. Its not that I would be opposed to others wearing it, I just wouldn't go out and spend on the suit.
If such a rule is passed I suppose men would just buy women's suits? I guess then the men could complain about suit straps digging into their shoulders too... :)
I think Pacific's rule proposal -- at least the way I read it -- allows for zippered textile bodysuits with equal coverage, since the proposal only mentions material and coverage and specifically says that FINA specifications only apply to SCM and LCM. Not sure where anyone would get zippered textile kneeskins since I don't think they are being manufactured, so (after using up the stock of any older suits) most men and women would probably buy what are legal for women in non-masters swimming.
But I also have heard that there are countries out there who want FINA to adopt equal coverage for men and women for non-masters swimming.
I don't think USMS should consider it unless that happens; one set of suit rules for all organizations and all courses.

I would be willing too.
Since that noxious subject of suit rules and technology ( :worms: ) has reared its ugly head again, here’s a little question you might want to ponder:
Why spend big $$$ on an expensive tech suit (or time shaving) when you can simply use hair remover?

I don’t believe FINA has any rules on the techniques for hair removal (either mechanical or chemical).
