Is there one? If so I couldn't find it, but want to say thanks to Ande for the swim faster faster tips and the ask Ande advice, and to the rest of you for being here with lots of interesting tips and articles to read, and my parents, my sister and her dog.....sorry I digress....
But seriously, being able to read and post and get some good advice has really motivated me to get back in the pool this spring/summer and to enter the summer league meets with my daughter.
We had a great morning on Saturday, she won her backstroke, made the A qualifying time in her breaststroke, while I came in second - less than 1sec behind a 19yr old on my 100 free and did a very respectable 32.46 on 50fly.
The ab work, SDK work and lots of kicking has really helped and I've only been at it a few weeks.
So thanks guys :applaud::applaud::applaud:

Ande,
Those are good tips, thank-you!
I found the Ask Ande thread,
so I'll post my questions there.
Thank-you!
Nancy
hey bzaks,
Thank you, it was fun.
I was worried going in because Chris Weissman, Chris Stevenson, & Jim Tuchler are excellent swimmers.
Holy Chrysanthemum Ande! That's so unbelievably fast... Seriously- that was an awesome race to watch!
Hey Todd,
You're welcome
Keep me posted on your progress
Ande
Also would like to drop a THANK YOU to Ande, I recently read through SFF and it is chock full of what you need to know to SFF.
Hey Nichole,
you're welcome
I wish you the best with your training.
What are you working on?
Ande
Yes, I concur. Ande's tips have definitely helped me focus on certain areas and swim faster faster. Thank you!

That was hysterical. It ironically describes how I feel about running as well except I continue to make myself run so as to try and cut more fat.

Thanks Karl. I'm not surprised Ande has a tip on overcoming obstacles. I love that half marathon piece! I read it a few months ago. Mile 9 was my favorite.

Um, I've experienced a bit of a setback. I recently ran a half marathon, was hit by a bike, and am recovering from a concussion, cuts, bruises and road rash. I did not know I had a concussion the day of, so I finished the race. I'm now under doctor's orders to cool it on any physical activity until the symptoms subside.
Silver lining: I've taken the down time to review my goals for the remainder of the year, am in the process of developing a dryland plan and am starting a blog of my progress.

Hey Ande, I'm joining the love-fest in thanking you (again!!!). I've thanked you a bunch of times and you know I'm a huge fan of yours, but I couldn't resist adding my :2cents: here. :D If I hadn't been in Alaska when this thread posted, I would have been the first to respond and agree!
Ande, sorry, again, about my loud mouth :cheerleader: cheering you on in the 200IM video I made of you at Nationals. I got so caught up cheering for you, I forgot it would end up on the video along with you. I guess that's the "Elaine-iaK" in me... :D

I am so sorry to hear about your accident. Was it during the race and if so what the :censor:was a bike doing there?I hope you get better soon and get back to swimming where at least we don't have to dodge vehicles in the pool(another reason to avoid open water.)
