Looking over all the men's 50 free prelim results it makes you relize how fast Taylor Hill's 23.1 underwater kick was.

Yes, I think his previous best was 21.59.
Anyone else notice Peirsol's swim in the 100 fly? Seeded third with a 51.8! Who woulda thunk it?
And who is Kasey Carlson and what's she doing swimming a 1:06.6 100 ***? :) I looked up her bio and she just finished her junior year of HS.

The Speedo guys are truly at a disadvantage at this meet. How does a guy (PVK) go from finishing 3rd at the Olympics to 5th at his national champs in just 10 months?
I am going to predict that Berens and Walters both go sub 47.7 in the 100.
Piersol will be the only one to go sub 52 in the 100 back and 100 fly for a long time if Phelps doesn't do it.
