  • I also thought it was interesting that so many of them (including Gangloff) wore the jaked suit. Also interesting--no lzrs. There are more lzrs at this meet than any another suit worn by the swimmers. I have been at the meet the last 2 days and last night I wrote down every suit that a swimmer wore in the A, B, and C finals. When I get a chance I will report back all of the numbers for each suit and each event. There is one suit that I never seen before and its black with a little silver circle and today I am going to find out what that is. Also I don't think that Arena titus has been out very long and I have not seen anybody swim with the Arena x-glide since it became a re approved suit. Peirsol did not wear a full body and wore Arena titus legs skins. Jaked swimmers include Alison Schmitt, Tyler Clary, Julia Smit, David Walters, and Mark Gangloff off the top of my head. Phelps. VDK, and Lochte strickly LZR suits.
  • weber gale and jones tie for second at 21.55 swim off is saturday night
  • I am glad that Corrie Clark from Suburban Swim Center made the A final in the 100 ***. She is 27.
  • What happened to KNUTSON Dagny. Was she supposed to slaughter the field in her events? A little too much media hype here. At least, she will be on a relay at Worlds. Is she swimming anything else? I am too lazy to look it up. I am glad that Elizabeth Beisel won. She looked so worn out from training at Charlotte and Santa Clara. But, she got her rest and put it down in the 400 IM and probably a disappointing 100 Back.

So I want to at least be perfectly clear on what I think: LZR wearers are probably at a disadvantage, There is no probably about it. The new suits are better because they are shiny.

Did anyone happen to look at the reaction times? Seems Phelps could work on getting a better start. I know is only hundreths of a second, but hey, its free time.
  • It looks like Dagny is a second or so off of her best times from this year- her best time would have gotten her on the team in the im's. I'm not sure if she is entered in anything else. Luckily she should be named for the 800 free relay.

Luckily she should be named for the 800 free relay. Maybe the nerves got the best of her at World Trials. She is only 17(right?). Heck, there is a 31 year old winning the B-Final of the Women's 200 IM. :applaud:. That is inspiring. I think that this 31 year old did my lifetime best. Now, if 31 year old women can do lifetime best, who is to say that guys in the late 30s can't. Plus, you have Gangloff doing a best time at what 27 or so.
  • Nice swim by sometimes masters swimmer Sabir Mohammed in the 50 free prelims at 22.08. Does anyone know if Cullen Jones' time was a pr? Looking over all the men's 50 free prelim results it makes you relize how fast Taylor Hill's 23.1 underwater kick was.
  • So how many of you out there are going to spring for a Jaked for our Nats? the orange and red Jaked is sorta transparent. i heard Hoff was ill before trials. anyone remember anita nall? she had chronic fatigue or something like that, Hoff just looks tired. or maybe she is in her head too much. look at her behind the block, i thought i was hyper, she looks nervous
