Did you meet your spouse through swimming?

Met on the local swim club when she was 6 and I was 8. Dated once or twice in high school, went to different colleges in CA. Lost touch for 15+ years, then re-connected - and married - after she "had a dream" about me and emailed me. I am the luckiest guy in the world.

Yep, thru USMS in fact...first time we met was before our mixed relay in a meet. :) That is so cool! :)

Yes, indirectly. We met on a pool deck when I was pool lifeguarding and he was a beach lifeguard coming in to lap swim to keep in shape for long ocean rescues. Now we are both retired and swimming masters, which makes for some fun adventures, including relays together and sometimes being in the same heats when we swim the same events. --mj:blush:

Yes. 43 years ago as we both coached summer league teams and kept running into each other on a regular basis until we finally decided to go on an official date. Great summer job I'd say!

I met someone very special on the 2008 Bonaire EcoSwim trip. So yes, you could definitly say we met through swimming............

As freshman in college, I was a swimmer and she was one of the timers our coach talked into helping at practices. (Back in the age of stopwatches and big analog deck clocks.)

Yes, she walked onto the pool deck for the first time before one of our workouts and I literally thought "Oh, oh, here comes trouble!" And I was dead right.
