That is nice that he is letting loose for a change. For a change? From what I've heard and witnessed...he was quite the let loose boy up there in Michigan as well. Although, all the girls in my graduate program here in Baltimore are anxiously awaiting his homecoming haha.

Nothing wrong with what he is doing, but from the female point of view it kind of kills his lure. Part of the attraction has been his seeming innocence, shyness, and awkwardness. Pics like these kill the attraction. That's one reason I wish I had not seen them. :(

But, it's kinda weird logging on to the swimming related discussion board and seeing constant references/threads to who he's dating, who he's hooking up with and his fun with random strippers. Let's just start a People Magazine for Swimmers thread in the NSR section.

He's a human being just like the rest of us. If we set people up to be above reproach, we're going to be disappointed. I would rather recognize people as people than as some ideal which I know I'm going to be disappointed in. Great.......! Now we're talking about Phelp's humanity. Next thing you know somebody will be posting pictures from some tabloid of Phelps taking a dump. Nothing wrong with being human but sometimes TMI (too much information) is not necessarily a good thing.

Now are you saying it is a good thing for him to do? I just think it's funny that you are defending his right to look while condemning him for "touching". As if the magical act of "touching" makes any difference in the morality of the situation? Curious distinction.
