Just wondering: we recently purchased team suits from agon swim. The result was a logo that you can barely see. Part of the problem was that we chose a black suit with a deep maroon colored logo.
Since this was our first time ordering suits, I would have thought that Agon would have had some production folks who would have raised a question with our order -- not so!!:mad:
Agon does't feel that have any responsiblities here. I feel they could use a understanding the value of 'good customer satisfaction'.
Can anyone comment on a good swim suit company ?
Or has anyone else experienced similiar problems?
I see your frustration with Agon, but they normally do do a great job--as far as I can tell by having seen so many other teams suits done by them.
It may have been unprofessional of them not to tell you that this combination wouldn't be great...but they also are a busy smaller company, taking the suits back or redoing them for you would have been highly costly.
I don't recommend logo's on team suits.
Most year round teams will choose a solid or 'team panel' suit in the team color(s). Some will have a local company embroidery them or apply a heat transfer if they want a logo.
Logo or team swim caps work well with the basic suit, they are cheap and easy to source and give a 'team look'.
I can't speak for or against Agon, but many times teams are only looking for the cheapest price on suits......
it's common knowledge dark colors don't contrast well
you ordered the suits with team logos (not easy to return)
how many suits did you order?
why didn't you order one suit to see what it actually looked like before ordering them all?
not many people get team logos on suits
most get team logos on caps
some get temporary tat team logos

Agon should have brought up the fact that maroon artwork would not work well with the black suit... Google "Kast-A-Way Swimwear"... they are a good bunch to work with.
I've seen a lot of teams in the high school area order from Agon, and I've never heard a good thing about them, unfortunately. Always problems with the logo or seams.

It would have been a whole lot cheaper than getting bad press on this website. They should be able to satisfy their customers. Their size is irrelevant but will become increasingly relevant if they continue with sub-standard customer service.
Kast-A-Way and Kiefer are generally great to work with.
Thanks everyone for the replies:
the fact is: even if the proof sent over the internet showed 'high' contrast of logo color vs suit color... someone in the production group at agon should have raised a flag and stopped for a second to question the job.
Agon did not do this. AND then they take no responsibility.
I don't care if they are busy or a small company... you are only as good as your last performance! I have a background with some printing, and I can not imagine why someone would not have questioned the job.
The point is: why even print a logo, if you can not see it when standing 6 feet away ?
These folks are in the swim suit design and graphics business seven days a week, 365 days a year. They are the pro's. The did a poor job, and I would never do business with them again.
Lastly, Agon, in my opinion, has very poor skills when it comes to both 'production' and customer satisfaction. I should have went with a bigger more established company who would have had a process in place to deal with the issue before it got to this point.
I wanted to speak to their President, and was told that he doesn't talk to customers. Can you believe this ? And someone said they are a small company? Just unbelievable.
Just unbelievable.
Scott,
Why was Agon picked over a local swim shop? Or even one of the larger on-line swim shops? Was it price? If so then there might be reasons why they were the cheaper(est) option.

I agree. But what can you do when you expect a company that does logos on swim suits full time, 24/7, and then blunders a job so bad, gives no professional help, and then refuses to want to do anything. They spoke about giving us a new color by paying $100 for a color mix -- but this does nothing for the suits we already recieved.
They were so backwards, that when we first complained they actually admitted that nobody had checked the job when it arrived at their nashville site from overseas! Imagine. They do not even have any quality control.
They were shameless and the pits. I would never do business with them again.
