2008 Swimming New Years Resolutions

What are your 2008 Swimming New Years Resolutions? What have you been procrastinating? Mine are to: 1) lose weight (go from 215 to 205 or better) and 2) do a few more SDK's on hard swims when I'm tired What are yours? Share 'em here We might hold you to 'em.
  • Hi "carol58," For variety in workouts, have you looked at any of the workouts posted in the "Workouts" forum, by USMS coaches? They do keep things interesting by changing what one does from day to day, and at least two coaches posting daily in 2007 (possibly all three) gave variations for different levels of swimmer. I'm looking forward to postings from the three new 2008 coaches! You can post questions in the "ask ande" thread, or start your own thread with a question. And you may be far more representative of readers here than you imagine! Good luck! Those are good goals to have. Regards, VB

I am a lot older than most people here and don't swim competatively so am not trying to beat times that would never be possible for me. I am a 58 year old woman who swims for fitness and over the past 5 years since I began to swim again it has made a huge impact on my fitness level, success on losing weight and how I look and feel. My goal for 2008 are to lose the last 10 pounds, improve my very, very slow flutter kick, improve my free style speed, and put more variety in my swim workout which generally lasts 90 mins.
