Well I have been reading through all of these posts and they are extremely informative on the swimming aspect, but was wondering if anyone has any recommendations/recipes for some great swimming food? Was thinking a nice chicken stir fry over rice. Not going on a diet and don't think I am dedicated enough to do the 6 small meals per day thing, just a regular 3 meals a day *** that pretty much cut out fast foods since I began 3 weeks ago.
Also, is it more important to have a meal before or after a workout? I always seem to be hungry coming out of the pool after a workout regardless of eating an hour before. Thanks in advance

I have a bunch of nutritional questions...way too many to put in any one thread. Does anybody know of a good internet forum that focuses on nutrition? I've looked and found cooking forums, diet forums, and excercise forums, but haven't found one yet specifically all about nutrition.
These aren't forums but you might find some good information:

I have a pdf file that is too large to post hre but is all about nutrition for swimmers. I haven't had a chance to read all of this yet but it looks good. Came to me via the kids team I practice with. If anyone wants it, please PM me with your email address.

Would very much appreciate that Alison, PM sent
The main thing I wonder about as far as food goes is what's in it and what are the nutrients?
I look at the cans and boxes in the supermarket and some things don't seem to have many vitamens etc to them, and some things have a bunch of chemically named stuff in it that's hard to pronounce. What is that stuff?
