Dara just one the national title in the 100M Freestyle in 54.4 at the ripe old age of 40. Simply Incredible. :applaud: :woot:
If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.
As you say she tested positive. I don't have any problem with that.
Let us wait for the results of the investigation there could be contributing factors.
There is no "investigation." She tested positive for a banned substance and faces a two year suspension as a first time offender.
Her only option is to appeal to the American Arbitration Association and the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The ruling of the CAS is final and binding.
You remind me of the great Creston. Your predictions could come true.
If you do not know who Creston is he is a Mentalist.
I am so proud to know you masterminds knowing the results before it comes to an end.
I am not going to be disappointed no matter what happens I will wait until the full outcome.

My post was factual.
My prediction is that her appeal to the CAS will be unsuccessful, her positive tests will not be overturned, and she will be suspended.

I do not disagree it may be a suspension. I do not disagree the positive tests may not be overturned.
Factual to the final outcome??? I am in the presence of the Suth-sayers. If you are right in the final outcome I will take my hat off to you. I don't know if you can count on what will happen stranger than fiction things do happen. And I have not had a drink today except coffee and I have taken all of my medication.
Good Eveing. I am new to this board and from Australia. I have read the posts in here for a few months and have enjoyed them.
I am surprised though at the number of people who have suspected Dara of using drugs to achieve her superb results at your recent trials. I thought she was brilliant.
I also read an article about her yesterday from time magazine which covers suspicions of drug taking

If she were an Aussie, I think we would be defending her to the hilt and defying anyone who accused her.
I hope she does really well at these olympics. She is an inspiration.

A French Cyclist’s Long Ride
By Aimee Berg
The New York Times
Anyone who has marveled at 41-year-old Dara Torres’s longevity in swimming should also consider the French cyclist Jeannie Longo-Ciprelli, who — two months shy of her 50th birthday — will compete in Beijing in her seventh consecutive Olympics.
She has won 1,000 races, 13 world championships and 4 Olympic medals. This summer, she dominated the French championships to capture the 53rd, 54th and 55th national titles of her career. Since 1984, she has not missed an Olympics.
“I could have been in Moscow, too, but women’s cycling wasn’t in the Olympics then,” she said in a telephone interview from her home in the French Alps, near Grenoble. Longo-Ciprelli attributes her longevity to healthy living and wise planning.....

Stanford, CALIF — Dara Torres thought that by confronting whispers about performance-enhancing drugs she could put any doubts to rest on how she made her fifth Olympic swimming team as a 41-year-old mother.
No such luck. She’s still hearing a torrent of questions and suspicions about her ever-improving results that only figures to intensify once Torres gets to Beijing.....
The same Time Magazine mentions Sheila Taormina age 39 being the first female to compete in three Olympic sports (Swimming, Triathlon and Modern Pentathlon)
