Speaking of the SC SCM meet ...
Anti-rant: It's a very good meet in a surprisingly fast pool. And supremely well run: My friend set a WR at that meet last year & the officials were snap, right on top of it, had the paperwork filled out almost before she was out of the pool. I really liked that meet.

There's a shooter in Cupertino who is still on the loose and now as a result practice is cancelled tonight

Safe practices to you!
Finding out your pace clock is slow by 5 seconds/100!!!!!!!!!!
Ours was running 6 seconds per hundred fast today. I thought I was a slug till I engaged my wrist stop watch. After that I felt pretty good!

I don't have many rants concerning "swimming etiquette" per say, mainly just pool/facility management: things like ::85+ temps::who-knows-what ppm chemical lvls:: mildew/dark funky pool decks with poor air circulation::cloudy water:: etc.
Money is scarce nowadays for many things, i'm not talking about renovation, just better maintenance and upkeep of what we have to work with.
Having just reached a point where I was increasing my distances each swim, working out at least 5 days per week (including running and some weights), and working on a real solution to making gains, I go out of town and get the #@%!! Flu...:frustrated:
OK there's my rant. Hopefully I'll be back at it in a few more days.
