Had my 120 dollar Oakley's in my TYR goggle case stolen from my backpack while I was taking a shower tonight. The pool manager is going to check his camera DVR for the lobby and entryway to see if the crook was dumb enough to walk out with them exposed. God this makes me mad. The only positive thing about this is that I did not catch the guy in the act...I might be in the pokey right about now. You are all probably much wiser than me, since most of you are older( I'm 31) :p, but you've got to keep your stuff locked up ALL the time. Too lazy to earn something themselves so they take it from somebody else...wastes of precious oxygen IMHO.
Sorry for the rant but I just had to vent some frustratrion.

As long as we are mentioning theft, I had an old slightly nasty USMS logo t-shirt stolen from the deck at 2003 Nats in Tempe.

Having stuff stolen definitely sucks. However, Oakleys and Ray-Bans have always been kinda cheesy to me. They always remind me of some dude wearing a tank top while driving a jeep without doors with a pit bull in the passenger seat. The same dude who likes to ogle the ladies at the stoplight while playing the radio just a little too loud. That being said, many of my friends wear these kinds of glasses, so I don't know what that says about me.
It says your friends have class....:D
LOL! Perhaps.
Cheesy or not, I still have mine and wear them 365 days a year. I don't drive a Jeep or wear tank tops either...for the record. :)

No, you ride shotgun while Geek mans the wheel (wait that's an oxymoron) in his wifebeater.
Not me. Mine broke in half after simply taking them off. Waste of my money. I stick with the cheap sunglasses now and they last longer.
FYI - Oakleys come with a full 1 year warranty and will repair or replace for free. After that, they will repair or replace for less than $30. I suggest you call their 800 number and see about getting them fixed.
I hope karma bit the kid in the butt enough to warrant stitches. People who steal things live with the self-knowledge they are theives, which is inevitably detrimental to their self-esteem. Stealing also reflects an attitude that it is not possible to be successful and prosperous honestly. It reflects and reinforces a feeling that the world is an unfriendly, hostile place that does not provide for us. That's the karma right there--it resides right in the thiefs mind and can't be avoided.
