Had my 120 dollar Oakley's in my TYR goggle case stolen from my backpack while I was taking a shower tonight. The pool manager is going to check his camera DVR for the lobby and entryway to see if the crook was dumb enough to walk out with them exposed. God this makes me mad. The only positive thing about this is that I did not catch the guy in the act...I might be in the pokey right about now. You are all probably much wiser than me, since most of you are older( I'm 31) :p, but you've got to keep your stuff locked up ALL the time. Too lazy to earn something themselves so they take it from somebody else...wastes of precious oxygen IMHO.
Sorry for the rant but I just had to vent some frustratrion.

Once the One Armed Bandit stole a team members bike.. he would ride it around. He was insane and had one arm.. not the best swimmer you can imagine.
Someone once stole my Pert plus with tingling action...THAT pissed me off..
If I ever find the *** he's loosing a hand...

Wouldn't lossing a hand be a little excessive.
Since it is Darth Vader, at least he didn't ask his boss to do something about it. ("Activate the Death Star...")
The One Arme Bandit did not steal the Pert Plus. That was someone else. He was awesome..
I think loosing a hand as punishment for stealing a shampoo PLUS conditioner (with tingling action) is justified..
if it was just shampoo, then maybe just a jamed finger, especially if there was no tingling action...
A necro-ed thread, but sadly timely: someone walked off with my practice fins last night while I showered. Thankfully they were nothing special, but still, I don't want to shell out cash to replace them. Makes me wish I had a nasty case of athletes' foot. :bitching:
Yes, a timely thread. Today I witnessed a shoplifting at Target. They didn't even know they had been ripped off of a Dyson vacuum. The police were tracking down the car, which I had the license plate of, now :)
I had my shoes stolen off the pool deck once. They were brand new, Speedo sport type shoes. The coach was standing about 5 feet from them and never saw a thing. It was one of the kids since they were putting ther gear down near my bag/shoes (this was in OR, not the kids I swim with now). It was a cold night walking to my car with no shoes on.

Not me. Mine broke in half after simply taking them off. Waste of my money. I stick with the cheap sunglasses now and they last longer.
It was - but my husband and I cracked up laughing about it. We were both like, "What a piece of junk." Maybe it was a fluke. Maybe I was to blame. I have been known to break things easily. ;) In all fairness, I did eventually leave the "cheapie"' sunglasses and splurged on RX polarized sunglasses. Now, I can't wear anything else. I highly recommend polarized glasses.
