I tried doing a search in the forums on this and couldn't find anything. I am curious to know how many yards people in Masters are swimming a practice. I swim on average 3000-4000 yards a practice, 3 times a week.
Where's the option which reads: "Zero; I'm far too busy looking up quotes from obscure swimming training reference materials to post in the raging TI debate to actually get in the pool?"

No, I thought you were wasting your time away, watching Survivor on TV or something instead of swimming, shame on you.
I only know what you are talking about because my daughter is big into Anime and actually is a wonderful Anime artist and I swam at lunch and did circuit training after work!
Actually, and this would greatly disappoint he whose name must not be mentioned, but I gave up TV entirely a couple of years ago. We did a big remodel and had to unplug the TV in the living room, and I realized after a while that I just didn't miss it, so when we finished the remodel we never put the TV back. It's now banished to the kids playroom, which is usually impassably messy, helping me avoid the siren call.
I do miss The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, but I am able to keep up with events via NPR and the web. After the West Wing turned to crap, I wasn't watching much else anyway. I use my former TV time for playing music, reading, and playing with my kids, and am pretty happy I got rid of it.
But I do find myself looking at those giant plasma displays every now and again . . . .

You mean you don't care whether Cogressman Santos gets elected President? (Does this qualify as a political post?)
Sam:
The last part of the statement "You can't do much about it, its in the genetics" could be applied to the person that made it judging from the 2:47.52 time in the 200 Free at the 2005 Long Course Nationals.

Don't be too hard on yourself about reference materials being obscure to you.
You can't do much about it, it's in genetics.

Totally uncalled for.
This season, I have a 2:29.85 in 200 free Long Course from 2004 that was done after the 2004 Long Course Nationals, thus belongs to the 2004-2005 season.

Could be applied, but on a more tangible note it is certainly applied to the person who misjudges it but doesn't even do that himself, does a 3:06.17 instead.
Man, that's fast...
