I tried doing a search in the forums on this and couldn't find anything. I am curious to know how many yards people in Masters are swimming a practice. I swim on average 3000-4000 yards a practice, 3 times a week.
Actually, and this would greatly disappoint he whose name must not be mentioned, but I gave up TV entirely a couple of years ago. We did a big remodel and had to unplug the TV in the living room, and I realized after a while that I just didn't miss it, so when we finished the remodel we never put the TV back. It's now banished to the kids playroom, which is usually impassably messy, helping me avoid the siren call.
I do miss The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, but I am able to keep up with events via NPR and the web. After the West Wing turned to crap, I wasn't watching much else anyway. I use my former TV time for playing music, reading, and playing with my kids, and am pretty happy I got rid of it.
But I do find myself looking at those giant plasma displays every now and again . . . .
