There are some pretty good "newbies" that haven't been mentioned yet either. Nora Jones, Alicia Keys, they have different yet classic styles. Add AC/DC to my list...I love them!!! Tom---that's quite the impressive list of concerts!!

I'm going to see Paul McCartney this fall and I couldn't be more excited ... I'm thinking I'll be the only one under 30 and probably under 50, but heck who cares PAUL LIVES! Ironic, that he is one of the two living Beatles ... In terms of new stuff ... Outkast is just fun (some stuff anyway), Love Nora Jones ... AND AC/DC RULES!

Kyra, thank you....Honestly though, I really wasn't a real concert type guy. Most of those concerts fell in my lap where friends had an extra ticket and asked if I wanted to go. Two of the times I say Dylan were in Coffee Houses...Gosh, I stumbled (literally) into a coffee house in the Village back in the late 60's when I was in NYC for the weekend with Marines in my unit and we got to see Leonard Cohen....That was most likely my favorite musical experience except for the Red Rocks concert and that was out of the world neat. I was lucky I guess for I have always enjoyed a very, very wide diversity in music. My father was a violinist (not by trade) and my oldest brother a concert pianist so I grew up in a home where classical music was the norm. But again, I generally didn’t like the huge crowds but got to see some great musicians all over the country. When I was in LA a friend asked me if I’d ever seen Neil Diamond….Heck, I jumped at those free tickets….
  • Kira, I'm so jealous! My brother got to go to all of the Day on the Greens and I was too young blah, blah, blah. I'm still scarred! :p Those were awesome shows (so I heard!)

Keather & Tom, I knew you guys were cool! Bob Dylan is the best. I'm sooooo jealous Tom that you saw him at a coffee house. I've seen him so many times. Last concert- not so good though. Oh well Springsteen U2 Paul Simon Rolling Stones Tom Petty best concert?? Had to be Day on The Green back in '83-84. Eddie Money, Bryan Adams, Night Ranger & Journey. I'd go to that today! I loved all those bands & to spend the entire day listening to them was awesome! 'Course it goes w/out saying that the Rolling Stones put on a h*** of a show. close second best concert- Bob Dylan & Paul Simon together. I've got chills just remembering it. :)
