Just thought I would start a thread which didn't have deep philosophical overtones so that we all can have fun with the new forum software. Based upon personal experience, I will start a list of “You know you are a swimmer when …” with the following:
You know you are a swimmer when you leave work in the rain and you can smell the chlorine coming off of your hair.
Anyone care to add to the list?

When you dream :bed:of doing faster sets than you can really do!!!!!!
Always a good dream
You're trying to convince your wife and kids how really cool people like to spend their summer vacation in Omaha.
:lmao:Good luck, Patrick! I couldn't convince my husband of that... Oh well, I shouldn't complain; I convinced him for Mesa and Greensboro! :D We we're lucky Georgia Tech was right in our backyard and Auburn was so close!
Happy holidays to you and my other GAJA teammates!
:carolers:
You announce to your family that you are going to do some stroke and turn work and the teens in the room laugh hilariously. It takes you a few moments to figure out why they might react in that way ... :afraid:
Related: Lots of laughs and threats of divorce when you legitimately think about naming your blog "Stroking in Vermont." You settle for your wife's suggestion of "Floundering in Vermont."
:dunno: All this grief because you want to try the dreaded 400 IM. :badday:

LOL!!:lmao:
You know you're a swimmer when the majority of your toiletries end up in your swim bag. ;)
you pay $20 bucks to swim out of town. outside in 50 degree weather with fog
That sounds neat! Except paying for it, but better than not.
:)
You go to B.C. hot springs (Radium Springs) and start stroking.
You know you are a swimmer when you get a job that will allow you to have free access to the pool, and be able to do you workouts and get paid for it at the same time.
You know you are a swimmer when you try to help anyone you see who has a technique flaw by explaining what they are doing, how it affects the stroke, they way it should be done and when you explain why and then they get it, they get very excited and thank you. You know you are a swimmer when you get a rush out of helping someone elses swimming.
