Just thought I would start a thread which didn't have deep philosophical overtones so that we all can have fun with the new forum software. Based upon personal experience, I will start a list of “You know you are a swimmer when …” with the following:
You know you are a swimmer when you leave work in the rain and you can smell the chlorine coming off of your hair.
Anyone care to add to the list?

When your body doesn't function properly because you've been out of the water for too long
when you pay good money to have a great haircut and style--and you are lookin' good-----and you immediately go and cram the hair up into your swim cap and swim.
when your husband says that your signature scent is sunscreen and chlorine.
:D
You realize theres no other pool open close by so you go to the local gym's pool with strange debris of bugs and hair, toilet paper scurrying on the bottom, the water a shade of green, and a Sasquatch looking guy getting out of the pool asking, "You're not gonna swim in that are you?" And you say, "F:censor: yah!"
In the truest sense, when you can swim as easily as you can walk, not having to think and feel each individual stroke.
When people ask you why you have no leg hair, or why it looks so weird, because it takes a couple months to grow back.
When you radiate the smell of chlorine.
When your hair is destroyed form spending 2-3 hours a day, 6 days a week in chlorinated water.
When your friends ask you if you're high because you have bloodshot eyes from the chlorine.
Anna you should make a couple of tee shirt quilts - I have two that I wrap up in at swim meets, they are warm even when they get damp. That way you can still see and enjoy the shirts and they aren't taking up space in your drawers or closet.
oooh, that's a really good idea! I don't actually have a bunch of swimming-related t-shirts, but I still love the idea!
You know you are a swimmer when...
...you have 64 swimming-related t-shirts in your closet (seriously--I just counted).

you find out where you're getting transferred for work, and before you look at houses or schools when checking out the area, you look for places to swim.
