Just thought I would start a thread which didn't have deep philosophical overtones so that we all can have fun with the new forum software. Based upon personal experience, I will start a list of “You know you are a swimmer when …” with the following:
You know you are a swimmer when you leave work in the rain and you can smell the chlorine coming off of your hair.
Anyone care to add to the list?

wasn't there a you are a swimming nerd or a geek when... thread somewhere too?
I can't seem to find it and have couple additions, I think.
Help!
You know you are a swimmer when you wear your goggles while cross training on the elliptical machine.
You know you are a swimmer when you know the exact location of all 10 pairs of goggles, but you can't find a single pair of sunglasses.
You know you are a swimmer when you forget your clothes size, but you know your swimsuit size.
You know you are a swimmer when you stay up late to wash and dry an emergency load of towels.

I had a pool party at my home years ago and one of the guests climbed over the fence around my septic system. He fell in he came out smelling like a cesspool. I know that is not the same smell your wife smells when you have been swimming.

My wife has told me that I smell at times like a pool, i.e., like chlorine. I thank her for the compliment. :D
Aren't you lucky!
I'm trying to smell less like myself and more like cholorine myself.
You DEFINITELY know you're a Swimmer when your natural body odor isn't present and the sent of Chlorine has taken over.

You mean you guys still *notice* the smell of chlorine?
I once went to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago with a friend who is not a swimmer. When we walked in, the first thing he said was, "Wow! You can really smell the chlorine!"
Until he said that, I hadn't even noticed it.
