Just thought I would start a thread which didn't have deep philosophical overtones so that we all can have fun with the new forum software. Based upon personal experience, I will start a list of “You know you are a swimmer when …” with the following:
You know you are a swimmer when you leave work in the rain and you can smell the chlorine coming off of your hair.
Anyone care to add to the list?

you just got through reading all of these posts...
yea light i do that,i think it helps a more controlled release of air ,also i read that some people don't fully exhale properly when swimming so therefore don't intake as much fresh oxygen on the next breathe in...i now fully exhale to a point that i really need the intake before i get it,this is dangerous to people who are new to swimming for obvious reasons.
i know this might sound crazy, but...
you know your're a swimmer, and a swimming addict, when during one of those sleepless, toss-and-turn nights, lying on your back and facing the ceiling, images of "the perfect stroke" comes to your mind, and you just HAVE TO test it by actually performing the stroke in the air, over and over again...
...maybe I should seek some professional help? :P
before I head off to the psychiatrist, here's another one...
you know you're a swimmer when you dream of FINALLY being able to hold onto water, so much that you feel like you're pushing yourself through jello, or pulling yourself along the carpet... :P
oh, the guys with the straight jackets are here... be back momentarily... ;P
you know you are a swimmer when you go to an age group swim meet even though you don't know any child who is swimming, because you just want to watch some races.
You know you have become a swimmer when.... none of your old dresses or blouses fit because your back has expanded, and you have trouble shopping for new ones that fit.
