The national qualifying times for the 2019 U.S. Masters Swimming Spring National Championship have been released. The meet will be held April 25-28 in Mesa, Ariz. More info about the meet, such as hotels, can be found on our meet info page. (Please read this info about the national qualifying times.)
Please note the Order of Events has also been posted for 2019 Spring Nationals:
www.usms.org/.../2019-spring-nationals-order-of-eventsInteresting. It will challenge my brain (in a good way) to come up with an event strategy to maintain freshness for the only event that really matters, the 400 IM. I think I'll have to pretend to be a sprinter for the first two days ... something like:
Friday - 100 IM and 50 back
Saturday - 50 free and 50 ***
Sunday - 400 IM and 50 fly
Assuming I can make it there, that could be fun.

Hmm, if I can make it down there I should have a pretty eclectic lineup too. Not because I'm saving for 400 IM though!
I attended Nationals there in 2011. Don't recall having any parking problems. I do remember stubbing my toe, but that was not because of the parking. :)
Have Nationals been here before? Does anyone know how much of a hassle (or not hopefully) parking would be?In 2011, they opened a big field next to the pool and parking was fine. Having said that, Uber/Lyft are quite accessible here in the greater Phoenix area, so that will be your best bet for zero parking hazards.
Just bring your sunblock whatever form of transport you take; plan on stopping at one of our many area Costcos before the meet. I remember all these reddened midwest/northeastern swimmers by Sunday in '11. Re-apply sunblock pretty much everytime you get out of the water unless you train outdoors year-round.
For any meet directors who may be interested, attached to this post is a Meet Manager Time Standard file for the Mesa NQTs that you may wish to import for your SCY meets this season. I had to Zip the file to be able to post on the Forums - you may have to extract the file from the Zip before importing to MM.
Special thanks to Ed Saltzman for creating this file.

Will definitely do that! It'll early in the year for me to have picked up any kind of tan from St. Louis and I don't have a February honeymoon to the beach this year.
I *think* I got preliminary permission to go to Nationals from The Boss, we will see if that holds.
