I am a triathlete trying to improve my swimming for one mile open water swim. I spent 3 month with a masters swim team learning to do the freestyle stoke correctly. Now I am attempting to swim on my own because I can no longer attend the swim team. (schedule conflict) I need to figure out my own workouts. I look at the workouts and don't know what they mean. Is there a link that explains the drills or the abbreviations? Or any information that would help someone training for an olympic distance triathlon.
Thanks!!!
I only compete in open water events. Look at the "Opportunities for Greatness" workouts. I have been using those a base (I often add to the distances because I'm training for longer events), and I think they would be great for training for a 1 mile swim. The post at the top defines the abbreviations, etc.
