I swam in high school and just recently started swimming again. I'm planning to compete in the 50 Free in November (3 months away) and I need a workout plan. Recently I've just been focused on my technique more than say tons of yardage. Lots of 100 pulls with and without the buoy. In addition I've begun doing some snorkel drills to work on my head position (Thanks Coach :)) I want to make sure that I'm doing the best workout possible both in the pool and out to be competitive in November. Also as a side note, if someone could help me to know what time I should be aiming for so that I can be competitive that would be great as well. Male - 34 years old Thanks in advance for the feedback, Melrick
  • If you are looking for sprint workouts, I would suggest reading The Fortress' blog on this website. She trains for the short distance events, and while she tends to favor backstroke and butterfly, you can probably adapt her workouts for free.

Thanks I will check into this blog and hopefully I'll be able to find some things that will help.
