Fitness test?

Hi, I just started swimming a couple of months ago and am at the point where I need some workout plans/suggestions. I'm swimming 5 days a week for an hour. I'm doing beginner's workouts, but am getting bored. Is there a standard swim fitness test? I'd like to get a good idea of current fitness 'baseline' so I can set some goals and start new workouts. -Jeff
