FRUSTRATED..I can't find loyal swimming buddies!

I'm beyond bored swimming on my own. Even though I have started an adult (unofficial Master's) team at my local YMCA, there are MAX, 5 of us....and usually not all at once...Plus we only practice ONCE A WEEK, on Saturday mornings. It's kind of a joke!:rofl: Where the heck do I live that I can't find a bunch of GOOD adult competitive swimmers to swim with...ones that want to do some serious workouts even during the week???????????? Sorry. Just venting!:rant3: If any of you live in Delaware, Maryland or even PA, COME SWIM WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!:wiggle:

  • Alison, you may not stick out like you think! One of the national girls told me this summer, "My mom asked who the new girl @ practice was and I told her you were in your 20s . My mom said she couldn't believe it." Oh and I do meets w/ the kids AND masters so I don't feel deprived in any area. I have the option to swim with masters teams or the kids. I had heard that some masters swam with the kids so I thought, "Why not?" I feel that I have to give 100% with the kids just to set a good example. Why not put differences aside (age is just a number) and try something new? Alex, that's a great story! But I don't think that 22 is old! :laugh2: Yeah, ok When the team at the YMCA here starts back soon I may ask:o But again, I think that coach didn't want me there! Err... Oh well. I will keep working on this Master's team!
