I'm beyond bored swimming on my own. Even though I have started an adult (unofficial Master's) team at my local YMCA, there are MAX, 5 of us....and usually not all at once...Plus we only practice ONCE A WEEK, on Saturday mornings. It's kind of a joke!
Where the heck do I live that I can't find a bunch of GOOD adult competitive swimmers to swim with...ones that want to do some serious workouts even during the week????????????
Sorry. Just venting!:rant3:
If any of you live in Delaware, Maryland or even PA, COME SWIM WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!:wiggle:

I gotta back Donna on this.
I LOVE swimming with the kids. Also huge time drops for me. I've never been in better shape.
Perhaps I'm in La La land, but the kiddos give me TONS of verbal encouragement at meets and practices AND they are very mature, serious and focused.
If I want to focus on a skill, I can go last in the lane. If I want to race, I can go first or heck, even last - always plenty of people to race if I so wish. It's up to me.
I'll be 36 next week. I never gave the kids enough credit in the past. They have been nothing but polite, encouraging, and mature. I learn something new from them every day. Now if I can just get some of the masters folks to do the same. . .
Won't lie though - it was hard physically and mentally at first. I just stuck with it and discovered something amazing.
