hello to the lone star state!
I am a current travelling nurse from the midwest (indyswimfit) that is missing the pool.!!
I hear that there are LOTS of places to meet and swim with fellow masters but ALAS I have yet to find a one. I was hoping that someone could take pity on me and assist me in my endeavor. I currently live in an area called River Oaks, in houston. Thanks!!

I TOTALLY undertand the whole drive in circles thing because I spent the better part of my 1st 3days doing that!
As for the Post OAk Y....believe it or not I actually found that pool before reading your reply! great minds.....I am truly excited that it is an outdoor pool and that it is heated! Thanks for the name of the coach..I plan to look him up on the next day off...I was getting mighty tired of swimming by myself...i do have your info Karlene and once I get a little more sure of the driving I would love to have some company in the water...especially someone so ultra talented to push me! Thanks again guys and look for me at the fall classic.:)
My younger sister used to live near the Post Oak Y. That is where her first 2 children learned ot swim. It is a really good placwe. I've been there two different times when I was visiting. One tiem I had the entire pool to myself. the lifeguard said that rarely happens.
