I am looking at putting together a sheet for my new masters swimmers about all the different swimming terminology and acronyms coaches use on deck.
I will start with a few.... Please add as many as you can and I will re-post what I put together.
DPS - Distance per stroke
Rev IMO - Reverse Individual Medley Order
R Arm - Right Arm only
L Arm - Left Arm only
Inv K - Inverted Kick
Alternate Breathe - breathing pattern that consist's of equal number of breath's on the left side as the right, typically done in threes, breathe left, stroke three times, breathe right, stroke three times, repeat.
SIMW = sleep in miss workout
SADGI = stand around don't get in
SOWAW = sit on wall and whine
GOEFC = get out early for coffee
DTGF = don't train get fat
RTTLS = real triathletes train like swimmers
OLSB = only losers swim breastroke
