The Butterfly Lane

Butterfly, beautiful to watch, difficult to train. We SDK off every wall. We're most likely to smack hands with each other and those beside us. Fly's fun to sprint but no fun when the piano comes down What did you do in practice today? the breastroke lane The Middle Distance Lane The Backstroke Lane The Butterfly Lane The SDK Lane The Taper Lane The Distance Lane The IM Lane The Sprint Free Lane The Pool Deck

  • A 1000 fly challenge has been posted by our morning workout group as well before the end of the year. I guess I know what I will be doing as part of my Sunday long swim. I did a 500 fly as part of a morning workout last week just to get my head ready. I am not sure if it was a wise idea or not! Congrats to all who responded to the challenge. Congratulations on your 500! :applaud: You now qualify as a Butternut, if you so desire : www.grinswim.org/.../butternuts.html And, now that you know you can do 500, I know you can do 1000! Believe it or not, it actually gets easier; especially if you are distance swimmer, as I read in your profile. I negative split my 1000 and I'll bet you do, too; especially if you take it out slow and relaxed- and, save your legs! Good luck! :cheerleader:
